Lizzie's 40th birthday weekend and family get-together, December 2012
Fulfilled the job of an early Christmas together. Well equipped kitchen, log burner was fabulous and location lovely with fantastic view. Great location to house a big group ranging from 76 to 12 years. Thank you. We will recommend to friends and family.
Henshaw party, December 2012
We stayed at Crow Pie Cottage for a weekend in November, 8 adults and 4 children and had a lovely time. The weather wasn't great but there were lots of ways to amuse the kids indoors with dvds and games, as well as a lot of room for hide and seek. We had a great view when the mist cleared on Sunday. Wood burner was lovely and warm and the kids loved the games. When it stopped raining the woodland was fun to explore as a bit of a wilderness. The view was lovely and facilities to a high standard with plenty of equipment in the kitchen to cook dinner for all. We really enjoyed the opportunity to chat around a cosy fire, Thanks Crow Pie.

Katie's Hen Weekend, September 2012
We found Crow Pie Cottage a well-furnished and attractive holiday home, more than adequately supplied with utensils and facilities. The practical kitchen catered to all of our culinary needs (being a large group) with an adequately sized table providing an ideal focal point for meals and discussion, whilst the cosy living room including log burner and larger screen TV was welcoming and comfortable. Crow Pie has ample sleeping capacity with clean linen and plenty of storage space, the bathroom and shower were tastefully presented and suited our requirements. Although we were not able to make best use of the garden, had the weather been better the outdoor tables and swing-ball set would have been a charming distraction. Another nice touch is a tank of tropical fish which were both colourful and beguiling. Being situated in the hills around Matlock, Crow Pie commands breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and is well positioned to visit the picturesque village of Matlock Bath and the nearby Heights of Abraham. Overall our trip was enhanced by the lovely hospitality afforded by Crow Pie Cottage.

I organised a group holiday for my sisters hen do and Crow Pie cottage was the perfect location. We had enough space for all 14 of us and the kitchen was a great space for cooking and socialising over a glass of Cava. I would happily recommend it to other groups, both families and friends. Crow Pie Cottage has all you need to if you want to enjoy beautiful countryside or relax, play games, eat, drink, laugh with a group. It is also very easy to get to from London on the train if you don't want to bring cars.
Chloe's Hen Do, August 2012
Just to say again how much we enjoyed our stay at your wonderful cottage. Everything seemed designed to make our visit as good as possible, and from the youngest to the oldest we want to say thank you very much indeed! All the best - John and the Edwards Family.
Edwards Party, August 2012
We had a lovely break at Crow Pie Cottage! The cottage was bright and airy, containing everything we needed. Matlock Bath is a great location for a weekend break with plenty to keep us occupied, and the cottage is ideally located in the centre of the village. Highly recommended for a weekend break with friends!
Newman Party, June 2012
We spent a lovely week at Crow Pie Cottage. More than enough room for all of us (8 adults and 3 kids). Plenty of toys, games, music, TV (with Sky), and DVDs to keep adults and kids entertained alike. We enjoyed two great BBQs - with stunning views over Derbyshire - and a lovely garden for sitting out and relaxing...and a bit of swingball! All just a few minutes walk into Matlock Bath with its host of pubs, restaurants, and amusements, and a short drive from lots of Derbyshire's main attractions. Thanks very much to Jackie.
Hyland Party, June 2012

Fantastic stay with 13 friends during the easter break. Very comfortable, cosy and surprisingly well equipped for a holiday cottage. It was exactly what we wanted for a peak district getaway with friends.

Latham party, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire. March 2012
This cottage was everything I hoped it would be when I booked it for my sister's hen party: beautifully warm and cosy downstairs with the log-burning stove making it hard to leave the expansive living room; a really well-supplied kitchen, with everything we needed to prepare and enjoy a celebratory meal (the slow cooker was a real treat) and a full English breakfast the morning after, and dramatic views. The drive up the steep hill to get there (I'd definitely recommend heeding Jackie's advice on checking out the route first) is all part of the adventure! The rooms are comfortable and peaceful, and our party (including a couple of mothers escaping children for a delicious break) found it super-relaxing. We explored the huge garden a little, but the weather kept us out for the most part: it would add even more to the stay for those visiting in the summer, and children will love it. I'd recommend Crow Pie Cottage to anyone looking to stay in this area.
